“How do we change the world?
By one Act of Random Kindness (A.R.K)! “
[at a time :) ]
Today was movie-day/ night … Ok not really but I found myself at the cinemas watching He’s Just Not That Into You and back home watching Evan Almighty ( I know … where have I been !?!?). Take home nuggets definitely have to come from Evan Almighty today ( first one’s above) … probably because one, I read the book “He’s Just Not That Into You” a little while back and two, I really don’t feel like digesting the messages all over again right now because I’ll end up in a tissuey, snotty mess :)
Please read in a “Morgan Freeman”-esque voice :)
“When someone asks for patience , d’you think God gives them patience
or does He give them the opportunity to be patient?
If they prayed for courage, does He give them courage
or the opportunity to be courageous?
If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings,
or does he give them the opportunity to love each other?
oh and PS:
” … Noah and the Ark? A lot of people miss the point of that story. They think it’s all about God’s wrath and anger. They love it when God get’s angry. What the story about the ark then? Well, I think it’s a love story; about believing in each other… You know the animals showed up in pairs? They stood by each other. Side by Side. Just like Noah and his family. Everybody entered the ark, side by side! …”
:) Here’s to all the opportunities that have so far been read as down right hard trials and tribulations!!
